Most of you already know buy Emily's photo made the local paper. This is not the photo, but one very similar to it. She is doing the "fly" aka the Butterfly. She loves the backstroke and free style she says the fly wears her out. No she doesn't have any tattoos, that is pen on her arm, she writes on herself to remember her events, heats and lane.

Cleaning.... this is never fun.....

So as usual I have put off cleaning, there is just something about cleaning I do not like, I am not sure why. I love the way things look after things are neat and tidy, I just do not MAKE the time to keep a perfectly clean house. I am sure that this drives my hubby crazy, but I do have some really good habits too. We have two great daughters, I cook dinner 6 nights a week, do the laundry, fold it and put it away, and I too work about 20 hours a week out side the home! (I guess I am defending myself, in case anyone thought I just stayed home during the week and watch movies!)

Anyways, I couple of Saturdays ago I had a day off from my nursing job and I actually got to stay home so I got busy on the craft stuff that had been on the garage forever. Oh, my did we have some really old stuff out there. These are some of the many things that we found. Emily and Kelly had spent hours making these and now I wanted to get rid of them forever..... they were both thinking about it for a while then I said how about a photo for the memories. Too bad I don't have any photos of them making them. Now needless to say most of these little items are in the local land fill. I think each girl saved one or two.

Got brains?

Under side of the sheep brain. Look down from above.Emily did better than I thought she would with a real (dead sheep) brain, she was able to cut a little piece of it, but she did have to leave the class about 10 minutes early because the smell was getting to her! Ella and Kelly with extra brains!

What you find when you leave your camera out!

This is what happens when you leave the digtal camera out, I am soooo thankful of not having to waste money on film and getting it developed. I would have to work a couple of extra days a month to pay for film!

Em's mark in history.....

What is Emily's mark in history you are asking? She at 12 years old she made the Minute Club. What the heck is the minute club? **A few of you need to get your minds out of the gutter!**It is a big deal on the swim team it means that she was able to swim 100 yards freestyle in less than one minute. She did in 59.13 seconds! Of course being the good parents, we were too busy cheering and didn't get picture of the score board. Emily is on the bottom left looking up, cool photo, huh!

Emily is sitting on her friend Lauren's lap, they were having too much fun at this meet! Emily Noelle, Hannah, and Emily Lyn are really are cool. (in case you didn't know that) This was at 7:45am just waiting to start warm ups.

Kelly loves tumbling!

Last week Kelly did tumbling Olympics, she did a really good job, she is very diligent about keeping her toes pointed and her legs straight. I think that she got 5th over all for her class (out of 30 children).

For some reason I do not have a photo of Kelly, she did end up skating more than a mile before she got a huge blister, next year she will listen to her mom and wear long socks!

Emily and her friend have been working on this for a while, this is a photo that she just took recently. I will try to get another one soon.

More Christmas fun!

The girls each got a great sweatshirt from Lake Gramma, they both wear them often.

Of course we are the family that loves stuffed animals and the girls are in love with *Webkiz so I made sure that we got a little of that history of Christmas as well. I don't know how I made it through elementary school without tv or a computer, hahahah! This is the Wii in action, Kelly spent a large amount of time boxing others. Kirk and Kelly are playing tennis.... in the house!

Our Family Christmas

This was the big big gift for the family... a Wii, the girls were so excited that they got one!

He was a little tired and it shows but he did enjoy the gifts the girls earned from him. This is a tripod flashlight that he has already used!

Swimming is a large part of our lives, so our girls now get a new suit and cap as a gift from Kirk and I.

Christmas... well Christmas Eve at The Kelly's house

This was the biggest and best surprise for Christmas, because of the snow my parents could not get out to head to Mexico For the first time in years all the clan was able to hang out and just be family. Dad was surprisingly fun and happy, he had us laughing and very thankful that they were around.Emily is wearing a lamp shade that Krissy made for her, while Riley is wearing a little hat that Krissy pick up for her.
