Kelly newest joy.........
Kirk ended up with this BB gun at the Christmas exchange, and it had just been sitting in the closest until AFTER the van window got broken and the sun came out. Kelly has always been interested in FIRE and GUNS... so we have let her shoot. When I got home from work on the very wet Sunday she had a work in progress going on, she was making herself a target to shoot.

Today she took it out on a test run and was surprised how good her old Mother was, she had no idea I could shoot, and do it well! :) I love surprising my girls!

Resurrection Sunday 2011
Another Easter has come and gone... unfortunately I had to work!!! Girls were really disappointed and I did my best to get out of the shift but just couldn't. I have to say I was really happy that Kirk and the girls took the time to take photos. This was the first Easter I have ever worked, not bad 1 in 16.
I have a very good looking family!

The sun is out and so are the girls...
The yard....
I always thought that this house had great light in the living room, unlike the little house, but now with that huge redwood gone it is even brighter.

Bad day to say the least....
So last week we had our van parked up in front of the house and sometime in the night it got two BB gun wounds, not really a big deal the van is old but we really aren't in the position to replace it right now, we'd like to get a little more time out of it. Yes the BB marks were ugly but we could still safely drive it. Kirk and I talked about parking in the back of the house, but felt like the stupid people most likely weren't going to return to the same area of town. Well we were so wrong!

We were not the only people with their windows shot out, there were 8 cars on our street that I personally counted. It even happened on our old street to Jon and Dawn, they had the back truck window shot out. I think we were one of over 100 people who had that done. It makes me so mad. I am hopeful that the police will catch the people who did it. With the amount of damage that was done they will spend time in jail!
Yesterday at 8:10am while I was getting ready to take Em to HC the doorbell rang, it was the police, my heart sank, Kirk had gone to work but I had not heard from him so I thought that maybe something terrible had happened to him. So in a way I was thrilled that it was just our van. Some stupid teens, one would assume, shot TWO holes in my van window! What a mess that kind of glass makes. It is safety glass but yet it is very mess. I am not sure how it happened but there was fragments of glass in the back row. It took me over 2 hours to get it all cleaned up, and $200 for the installation of the new glass.

Swimming....
This was a very fun meet, in fact this is the girls' favorite meet, it is fast, there are lots of relays, and very little pressure. Emily has won her age division 3 years running including this year.
Kelly has always made the top five, unfortunately this year she earned second place by 00:00.02, two-one hundredths of a second! To think how many of those I have wasted in a life time!

Kelly lastest project
Kelly put together some blankets to be taken over to Japan for some of the children there who are currently misplaced and cold. It was a great project and something we would like to help out with again, it is always good to serve.
