Good Friends...

Kelly and Olivia are good swimming friends... they have this funny thing they do before some events, I just had to get a couple of photos to share....

Emily at PNS Champs ...

Here is Emily in the 100 backstroke were she qualified to swim in the Western Zones... she was the lead off for the 200 Medley Relay.

She was in lane eight with a time of 1:02.72 the fastest 13 - 14 year old female in that heat, it was very exciting for her, and a big accomplishment I think only the top 3% of swimmers make it to zones.I am not sure where or when Western Zones are this year, but both Kelly and Emily have qualified in two events and are close with 3 more! Last year it was in Hawaii, however PNS, did not attend, it was too expensive over 3K per swimmer!

Seeing your name in those lights is very exciting, I took lots of photos now to get them to scrapbook them is another thing.

Santa 2009

Here is our annual Santa photo.... We almost didn't get a photo since Em could not find a dress that wasn't for 8 year old or for hootch-ee mamas, finally at Macy's at the South Center Mall we found this dress. She was very stunning to say the least. Kelly's dress is so pretty, too. I had to laugh, Santa said they were some of his favorites for the day! I can't really blame him, they are nice girls.

The gift exchange...

Drawing numbers for the gifts... I got 13 out of 14 not bad.... but stupid Jimmy was #1 and stole my frangos and $25 to Walmart!

Katy and I are so very different yet so much a like... she always opens her own gift, and ususally ends up keeping it! Gotta love that attitude. $25 to the movies and popcorn.

Emily got a box of cookies and $25 to Kohls, like she needs more clothes, you should see her room, they have bursted out of her closet and dresser and are all over the floor! UGH!

Brian got some kind of tools, small enough to be pack to Crete, but large enough to be useful. By the look on Krissy face she was happy too!

Kelly was happy she got $25 to Target, you know a 10 year old girl can never have too many shoes!

So Riley being four helped everyone open their gift, she was so funny, but she wouldn't pose for me tonight, so I got very few good photos of her!

Lexy stole the snuggle, that thing is so ugly but everyone kinda wanted it.... but some how Lexy ended up with it she was so funny showing it off for all of us, I got a couple of funny shots.

Lexy is almost 17, Brian and Krissy are moving to Crete, so this was kinda like a "last Christmas" for a while, but there is just something about this one that makes me smile.

Bennett Family Christmas 2009---

So before the party I almost burnt down our house. I was toasting coconut in the toaster oven and it caught fire, so in my panic I opened the door to the oven and had a flashback and woosh the flames got huge..... then my brain kicked in I shut the door, unplugged the toaster oven and took the whole thing outside, where it was 20 degrees. The flames went down quickly at this time, ugh! The poor toaster over has a few of its own scars now too! Burnt coconut is not tasty, the birds didn't even eat any of it, out in the trash it goes now.

I did make more toasted coconut, but I was much more attentive the second time around.

One thing I love about my sister Katy, is that she loves to go all out over Christmas, she has so much stuff and she knows how to decorate so it doesn't look lame, here is a small sample of just part of her house.

Even her tree, that is white looks fabulous! I can't image having a tree--- but she always pulls it off so it looks perfect!
