Kelly went to girls winter camp this weekend...

Kelly and Ellabeans
This is just a nice picture of the group of girls they are all staying in this cabin, most of these girls attend our local church. (Kelly is the second girl from the left in the black and white jacket.) This is such a fun photo ("Mrs. Huffer is so fun she always lets the girls have a silly face photo," said one of the girls!)... I think they probably had a great time..... Say silly face!

Katy....

So Katy was heading over to an 80's party but had to stop by my house first.... and this is what she looked like..... Gotta love that! I would NOT have known who she was at first, except that I knew she was stopping by! So funny. Kirk and I were laughing so hard our cheeks hurt! Glamour gal!

Playing guitar and singing

The girls (with their good friends) are singing White Horse by Taylor Swift at a Talent Show. Emily is playing the guitar she sounds really good but it has taken her hours to sound perfect, last night was the dress rehearsal she made zero errors, she was thrilled! Next Friday is the big night!

Homeconnection Spelling Bee...

Both of our girls wanted to tryout for the Spelling Bee... good thing they are related to Kirk, who can spell! But the pressure of performing in front of others got to them. Once they were out they could spell almost all of the words! Interesting.

***I would have loved to take part in a Math or Science Bee that would have been right up my alley!

Outdoor fun....

So our winter has been so mild except for a few really cold days (in the teens) in December. Last week was dry and warm in the 50's the girls spent some time out on the trampoline.

This photo of Kelly shows that it takes a little more patience and work when there is a 4 year old on the tramp with the big kids, Riley has no concept that she could hurt them or they could land on her during their turn, so when it is not her turn some one holds her, she doesn't like it but the alternative is getting off entirely.... so better to be held!

Wow..... Emily can do some amazing tricks on the trampoline, she is so fun to watch until she knows you are watching then she really hams it up! She can flip in all directions it's amazing what young bodies can do!This is one of the reasons I LOVE my new camera, I never could capture a photo like this with my point and shoot. This is Molly, she is a friend of both my girls, and she tolerates Riley, too!

Kirk and I wondered at the time when we purchased this if it really was the right thing to do with the limited amount of extra money we had he was back in school, I was the only one working and things were really tight! But looking back this was such a great purchase. We might have to replace her this spring: she as numerous springs missing, the protective blue mat is broken, and the trampoline has micro wholes in it, it is just a matter of time before she breaks! But it will be a hard choice... a big screen TV (our tv is 10 years old) or a new trampoline.... there is not enough money in the budget for both! Hmmm what would your vote be?

Cards... I copied all of these.

Okay these don't really look very good in the photos, but they are really cute in real life... I really do enjoy finishing a task, that is one thing I really love about card making!

Kelly as Grover Cleveland.....

Kelly has been taking a class about US Presidents. She really enjoyed the class and learned all their names, mini facts and can now recite them in order. For their last class they each had to do a mini presentation in front of the staff, classmates and parents. She did great. It is always great to see your children really be pushed... Kelly is not good about getting up in front of a group and speaking. It went well except her felt mustache fell off during her speech!
This is her class, can you tell who is who? That was fun, well done.
