Bennett Family Christmas in Seattle--- 12.19.11

This is one of my favorite photos of the night, Kelly is listening to the other part of our group while Riley is in the back ground making a face. Look at that fake smile she has.
Here are a few photos of the Gingerbread houses: i can't find the photo of my favorite one... but you can see part of it misfit: I will try to upload at another time!

We went downtown saw an ugly Santa, got a group photo, had linner (combo of lunch & dinner) at West Lake, rode the Monorail, stood in a L-O-N-G line and finally got to see the awesome gingerbread houses at the Sheridan, rode on the Merry-go-round laughed at Mike (Lexy's boyfriend), had the girls pick out their own suitcase at ROSS a gift from Gramma, people watched, just enjoyed being together, ate mini donuts, got pissed off at my camera for not working properly when we got to Santa!
All and all it was a great time in Seattle, can't wait to do it again in the summer!
Please click on the photos to see the fabulous details in these houses, they were amazing!

17 years...

Not many people thought we would make it... too different, I was too young, he was too old.... blah blah blah!!! I have to say we haven't had many dull moments, but if I had to do it over, I would. Being married to Kirk changed me into a better person, it has made me stronger, smarter and allowed me love at a level I never knew.
Thank you Kirk, I know that I am not always the best wife, but that leaves me to have room to improve! It's been a great 17 years!

Kooking with Kelly.....

Kelly has been taking an American Girl class at HC, each time they finish a series they have a potluck and bring HOME MADE food from that era. She just finished up the Kirsten series, the books are geared at about 3rd graders but the teacher has lots of fun activities that go along to enrich the books.

LOVE this time of night---

What is it about the sun setting and the reflection of the light.... there is something mystical about it. What is even better, I was able to catch it in the camera! :)

Poor Barn won't be around much longer, I would love to light a match to it this summer but my father would KILL me, yet it would make a fantastic bon fire I am a pyromaniac, too say the least.
