The swim team was having the annual Pumpkin 400 (usually the weekend of Halloween), is an event were each swimmer swims 400 free for a time and afterwards has pumpkin pie. Well last year Neil thought it would be fun to have other kinds of pie. Of course I have one of the best apple trees on Whidbey so taught Kelly and Olivia how to make a pie.It was the first time Olivia had ever used a peeler. Her mom is Japanese and has very few kitchen items since space is so limited in Japan and that has carried over to their lives here. Unfortunately, while using the peeler, Olivia took a nice chunk out of her finger, but she did get a Hello Kitty band aid and was fine in no time! :) Her mom has even allowed her to turn to our house!
